Anna Dina Bjørn-Larsen, born in 1975, received her first flute lessons from Peter Brock in Karlsruhe and Vladislav Brunner in Frankfurt.
After graduating from high school, she studied with Paul Meisen in Munich, Jeanne Baxtresser in New York and Jean-Claude Gérard in Stuttgart. During her studies, she already played in the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Bavarian State Opera Orchestra as a scholarship holder of the Munich Orchestra Academy.
In 1998, at the age of 23, she became principal flute at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, a position she held for almost 20 years.
In 2013, she was awarded the Order of the Dannebrog by the Queen of Denmark for her artistic work and commitment to Danish cultural life.
In addition to her work in the orchestra, Anna Dina Bjørn-Larsen has always devoted herself intensively to chamber music. She is a founding member of the Diamant Ensemble Copenhagen and was a long-standing member of the Danish Radio Wind Quintet.
She has recorded several CDs with both ensembles and has performed at numerous festivals in various European countries.
Anna Dina Bjørn-Larsen has worked as a lecturer at various Danish universities, including the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
She is in demand as a lecturer at masterclasses in the USA and Europe. She has been a professor at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media since 2018.
