Prof. Marion Eckstein

Marion Eckstein studied voice at the HMDK Stuttgart with Julia Hamari and Dunja Vejzovic.
Numerous engagements have taken her to the Gewandhaus Leipzig, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, the Tonhalle Zurich, the Vienna and Berlin Konzerthaus, the Suntory Hall Tokyo and the Xinghai Concert Hall Guangzhou, to the Teatro Real Madrid, the Staatstheater Wiesbaden, the Theater Aachen, as well as the Salzburg and Tyrolean Festivals.

She has sung under conductors such as Ivor Bolton, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Enoch zu Guttenberg, Thomas Hengelbrock, Konrad Junghänel, Yutaka Sado, and Jukka-Pekka Saraste, with the European Chamber Orchestra, the Dresden Philharmonic, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, the WDR Symphony Orchestra, and the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich.
In addition to numerous radio recordings and CD productions, the CD “Lotti, Zelenka, Bach” under the direction of Thomas Hengelbrock received a Gramophone Award.
Since the winter semester 2019/20, Marion Eckstein has been Professor of Voice at the HMDK Stuttgart.
