Beyond Bach, Dorothee Mields is equally passionate about other Baroque composers, including Graupner, Telemann, Purcell, Handel, Schütz and Monteverdi, as well as Renaissance music, as demonstrated by the “Basevi Codex” project with the Boreas Quartett Bremen.
She enjoys a particularly close artistic collaboration with lautten compagney Berlin, with whom she has developed thematic programmes devoted to English Baroque music and Monteverdi, as well as programmes featuring music that reflects on the experience of war between 1618 and 1918.
Dorothee Mields is also committed to contemporary music, appearing at events such as the Munich Biennale and performing with Klangforum Wien. She particularly values chamber music collaborations with instrumentalists such as Stefan Temmingh, Hille Perl and Tobias Koch, as well as with the Salagon Quartett.
