Anna Dina Björn-Larsen, born in1975, started playing the flute at the age of 9 with Peter Brock in her hometown Karlsruhe and later with Vladislav Brunner in Frankfurt.
She began her conservatory studies in Munich with Paul Meisen, spent one year in New York with Jeanne Baxtresser and finished her education in Stuttgart with Jean-Claude Gérard.
Already during her time as a student she collected valuable orchestral experience as assistant player in the Bavarian Radio Orchestra and Bavarian State Opera Orchestra.
At age 23, Anna Dina Björn-Larsen won the position of Principal Flute at the Royal Danish Orchestra in Copenhagen/Denmark, a position she held for almost 20 years.
In 2013 she received the Order of the Knights by the Queen of Denmark, acknowledging her artistic contributions to the Danish music life.
Besides her intense orchestral career Anna Dina Björn-Larsen has always been a dedicated chamber musician.
She is a founding member of the Diamant Ensemble Copenhagen and was a long-time member of the Danish Radio Woodwind Quintet.
With both ensembles she appears on numerous recordings and has been a regular guest to prestigious festivals in Germany, Great-Britain and Scandinavia.
Anna Dina Björn-Larsen has been teaching at several Danish Conservatories, such as The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
She is teaching masterclasses in USA and Europe.
In 2018 she was appointed Professor at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover.
