A place for artistic focus

Forum Artium is an academy for music and international masterclasses, housed in a listed Wilhelminian-style villa.
Here, focused periods of work and intensive exchanges take place. A chamber music hall, rehearsal rooms and on-site accommodation provide the ideal conditions for professional artistic work.

Our ethos

Forum Artium stands for musical excellence, personalised support and an international outlook.
Small groups enable intensive work and individual development. International lecturers shape the academy’s artistic profile.
Our aim is to create a focused working atmosphere for sustainable artistic development.

The chamber music hall

At around 100 square metres, with excellent acoustics and high ceilings, the hall offers the ideal setting for concerts, rehearsals and lessons. Having hosted over 1,000 concerts, this hall has witnessed generations of world-class musicians. The space exudes the experience, dedication and energy of extraordinary encounters and moments.

Rehearsal and communal rooms

Several bright rehearsal rooms, a library and communal areas provide space for socialising and focused preparation. A media room, a lounge and a table tennis table round off the facilities, allowing for a balance between intensive work and time spent together.

Our in-house kitchen prepares four meals a day and treats our guests to fresh dishes and our own specialities.

Guest rooms

The eight individually designed rooms provide a quiet environment conducive to focused work. Accommodation, rehearsals and discussions all take place under one roof, fostering a close bond between tutors and participants.

Short distances, shared meals and the open layout of the building contribute to the courses’ intensive atmosphere.
